Speaking in his weekly press briefing on Monday, he said, “at the nonstop follow ups of the Industrial Intellectual Office of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, the name of Persian Gulf with the prefix of ‘Morvarid’ was registered in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The director general also revealed the registration of six strategic Iranian products in WIPO at the initiative taken by the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
Iran’s strategic and export products have been registered in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) under the titles of travertine stone of Mahallat, fig of Fars prov., saffron of Qaenat, Gaz of Isfahan and raisins of Malayer sub-province, he observed.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he put Iran’s rank in 4th place in the world in terms of worldly registration of products in the Organization, and said, so far, 60 industrial and mineral products of the country have been registered in WIPO.”
