TEHRAN, Sep. 17 (MNA) – Iran’s National Football Team, known as Team Melli, will take on Bolivia in a friendly match on October 16.

As reported by the official website of Football Federation of Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI), Team Melli is going to host the Southern American team at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Tuesday, October 16.

According to latest FIFA ranking, published in August 2018, Iran ranks 32nd in world and 1st in Asia while Bolivia has attained the 50th rank in world and 9th in South America.

Team Melli is preparing for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup which is going to be held in the United Arab Emirates from January 5 to February 1. Queiroz’s men eye to claim the title for Iran after some 42 years.

Iran held another friendly match against Uzbekistan last week which ended with a 1-0 victory for Iranians.
