TEHRAN, Jun. 27 (MNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will arrive in southern port city of Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan province to open the 2nd phase of Persian Gulf Star Refinery.

The Hormozgan provincial governor Fereydoon Hemmati said President Rouhani will embark on a visit to the province to inaugurate the 2nd phase of Persian Gulf Star Refinery.

He said that with the opening of the second phase of the refinery, 14 million liters of gasoline and 3 million liters of aviation fuel will be produced in Hormozgan province.

The first phase of the refinery was inaugurated last year and the contractor, which is Iranian company Khatam al-Anbia Construction Base, intends to finish the work of its third phase by the end of this year according to its plan.

According to the ‘www.hydrocarbons-technology.com,’ the Persian Gulf Star Refinery has a processing capacity of roughly 360,000 barrels of gas condensate a day upon becoming fully operational in 2018. The project is estimated to be completed at a cost of approximately $3.4bn.
