TEHRAN, Apr. 30 (MNA) – Deputy Minister of Energy for International Affairs Farhad Yazdandoust pointed to the long history of cooperation between Iranian Ministry of Energy and Germany’s energy companies and said, “multilateral cooperation can be established with regional and neighboring countries using high potential and capability of German companies in this regard.”

Director General of the Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of Germany in his meeting with Mohammad Ebrahimnia Director General of Macro Planning Office of the Ministry of Energy for Water and Wastewater Affairs pointed to the long history of cooperation of the Iranian Ministry of Energy with the German companies in the related field and added, “Germany is seeking a reliable business partner in international level, the issue of which has been taken into serious consideration.”

The main focus of the discussions was on the management of project and the way of use of wastewater in shrine city of Mashhad and also the way of participation of two sides in conducting feasibility studies according to the experience and technical knowhow of Germany in the relevant field, he maintained.

With due observance to the said issue, the two sides reached a preliminary agreement to broaden cooperation in this field.

Joint cooperation between the two countries in the water and wastewater sector was approved for 2018 and 2019 in the wake of 5th Joint Iran and Germany Commission which had already been signed and sealed by the ministers of economy of the two countries, the official concluded.
