“There are many objectives in the agenda of this visit to negotiate with Iraqi officials,” said Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Iranian Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistical Support, on Wednesday.
The Iranian official made the remarks upon arriving in Baghdad while addressing reporters and journalist at airport. Exchanging views on regional developments and the problems which have entangled the countries of the region were also mentioned by the official as some of objectives of his visit to Baghdad.
“One of the main goals of this visit is to broaden defense and military cooperation between Iran and Iraq,” he added.
“Attending the first joint defense cooperation commission of Iran and Iraq is another goal of visit to Iraq,” recounted the Iranian defense minister.
“Having dialogue and holding meetings with other Iraqi ministers and security, defense, and military officials of Iraq are also in the agenda of this visit,” said Brig. Gen. Hatami.
“I am delighted that I am visiting Iraq at a time that the Iraqi government and nation have defeated terrorists. I extend my greetings on these victories to the people, government, and armed forces of Iraq,” highlighted the Iranian minister.
“The criminal acts of the three countries of US, UK, and France carrying out a missile attack on Syria were blatant examples of violating the international law and regulations and UN charter,” the Iranian official categorically condemned the trilateral aggression of US, UK, and France in Syria.
