“We are mulling over activating the huge potentials of Tehran-Baku cooperation in areas of energy, transportation, and tourism,” said Elmar Mammadyarov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on Wednesday.
The top Azeri diplomat made the remarks at the presser of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Iran, and Turkey in Baku which was held after the trilateral meeting of the diplomats.
“Today at the fifth edition of trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Iran, Azerbaijan, and Turkey we signed a final statement that showed the same stance of the three countries on al-Quds, in addition to the shared determination for expanding trilateral cooperation in areas of economy and culture,” said the Azeri foreign minister.
The Azerbaijan’s FM recounted that the issue of Palestine was discussed at the meeting. “Azerbaijan, Iran, and Turkey can’t accept the recent US decision and the prepared draft resolution of UNGA on this issue will win the yes vote of these three states,” noted Mr. Mammadyarov.
