163 states voted in favor, 6 against, while 11 states abstained.
“The vote is an affirmation of the continued support of the international community to the Palestinian cause at a time when US President Donald Trump threatens to cut off financial aid to countries that will support a draft resolution on al-Quds (Jerusalem) on Thursday,” the Palestinian news agency WAFA quoted the Permanent Observer of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, as saying.
The US president, earlier, threatened to cut off financial aid to countries that will back a UN resolution opposing the recognition al-Quds as the Israeli occupation entity’s capital.
