TEHRAN, Dec. 19 (MNA) – In the presence of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development on Monday, Iranian companies signed 13 contracts worth 100 billion Rials to contribute to development of the northern and southern ports of the country.

According to the contracts signed with Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO), the private sector will invest 100,000 billion Rials in the ports of Shahid Rajaee, Imam Khomeini, Khorramshahr, Bushehr, Chabahar, Amirabad, Bandar-e- Anzali and Nowshahr.

The Ports and Maritime Organization also signed a memorandum of understanding with several government companies to continue their cooperation.

In the ceremony of the signing these contracts, in addition to the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Managing Director of the Ports and Maritime Organization, Managing Director of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company, Bushehr Governor General, officials from the Mostazafan Foundation, and some other officials from the port and maritime community of the country were present.
