The Council of Ministers convened on Sunday and the executive organs presented their reports on the implementation of the Charter on Citizens’ Rights on its implementation anniversary.
“Executive organs must be pioneers of removing unjust discriminations, rights of ethnic groups, religions and women,” highlighted the Iranian President.
President Hassan Rouhani, who was chairing the meeting, said observation Charter on Citizens’ Rights must be felt in daily lives of people stressing that all executive organs must pay due attention to the issue.
He continued that “Executive organs must be pioneers of removing unjust discriminations and the rights of ethnic and religious groups and women.”
“Although full observation of citizenship rights are related to other institutions and branches, the executive branch must be the pioneer of its observation,” he underlined.
The President went on to state that the right to have access to information, the right to a clear, competitive economy, the right to employment and some of the 22 key components of the charter need serious work.
He also called on all executive organs to report their first steps in implementing the charter on the first anniversary of its implementation.
Also at the session, the Cabinet agreed on allocation of necessary banking facilities to quake-hit people of Kerman for reconstruction of urban and rural areas and for purchasing needed commodities.
