The commander made the remarks at a ceremony on Tuesday morning held in Bandar-e Anzali where ‘Separ’ (Shield), the new missile-launcher warship, joined the Islamic Republic Navy flotilla in the Caspian Sea.
Amir Hatami, while congratulating the sweeping victory over Takfiri terrorists, said “the triumph marked a very significant event which was made possible by Iraqi and Syrian armed forces and people as well as assistance of regional countries like Russia and Iran.
“Regional nations have realized that right gains the upper hand over wrong through resistance and perseverance,” he underlined asserting “Resistance warriors relied on God and devoted people of region and managed to uproot ISIL.
“Iran’s Navy carries out similar operations in the fight against pirates,” stressed defense minister reiterating that “Iran’s Navy and Army have succeeded in ensuring and maintaining security in international waters.”
Calling for proper exploitation of maritime capacities in the country, Hatami asserted that Iran’s Navy had thwarted all enemies’ plans to restrict the country’s progress in the sea thanks to expertise of local scientists.
“Today, Iran is capable of designing and manufacturing vessels and warships indigenously,” underlined the Iranian defense minister.
Brigadier General Amir Hatami, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic of Iran calls for peace and friendship and security for all countries, added “to these ends, necessary equipment must be at hand to overcome all threats.”
He stated that all Caspian Sea littoral states held consensus over the need for peace and friendship; “the willingness also exists to increase cooperation over peace, friendship and security.
Amir Hatami, referring to establishment of good international relations by the Iranian Navy, concluded that no effort should be spared to consolidate and strengthen existing ties and to bolster all-round collaborations.
