TEHRAN, Nov. 18 (MNA) – Jordan Burroughs, an American world and Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling, has issued a message in Persian sympathizing with earthquake-stricken people of Kermanshah province in Iran.

The American freestyler who holds five Olympic and world titles has sent a message in Farsi language to express sympathy with people of Kermanshah who suffered a bitter earthquake incident. Burroughs made a visit to Iran in February 2017 in order to take part at the 2017 Freestyle Wrestling World Cup which was hosted by west Iranian city of Kermanshah.

In his Persian message, Jordan Burroughs coveys heartfelt condolences to Kermanshah citizens as well as all Iranians adding “I share your sorrows. I want you to know that we are all thinking about you and sympathize with you because of the earthquake.”

“Kermanshah was a memorable city for me during the 2017 World Cup. I was so delighted to be present there and to meet with warm-blooded and hospitable people who also adore wrestling.”

He later notes that “my family and I got very upset when we heard about the bitter incident. We pray for you and wish the situation will improve sooner and the beautiful Kermanshah will be reconstructed again. I look forward to traveling to Iran in the future. My family and I have the best wishes for you.”
