TEHRAN, Sep. 24 (MNA) – Greco-Roman squad of Iran’s military forces collected one gold and four bronze medals to stand on the third podium at World Military Championships in Lithuania.

The international tournament kicked off on September 20 the Lithuanian city of Klaipeda and ran through September 23. Iranian representatives managed to earn one gold and four bronze medals to finish third overall.

Accordingly, Mohammad Nourbakhsh clinched the title in 59-kilogram weight category. Additionally, four bronze medals were scooped for Iran by Majid Khalili (66kg), Afshin Biabangard (71kg), Vahid Babaeijafari (75kg) as well as Mehdi Fallah (85kg).

Having racked up a total of 54 points, the Iranian outfit occupied the third position in the Grec-Roman division of the sportive tournament.

Russia win the title with 59 points while Ukraine stood in the second place with a total of 56 points.
