TEHRAN, Jul. 30 (MNA) – A meeting of executive, legislative and judiciary chiefs of Iran was hosted by President Rouhani on Sunday morning.

President Hassan Rouhani, Judiciary Head Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli larijani as well as Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani met and discussed the most significant issues in the country and the region.

Rouhani said he had been looking forward to attending a similar session since conclusion of Iran’s 2017 presidential elections saying “elections are now over and time is ripe for cooperation and collaboration as all branches need to work hand in hand in order to meet material and spiritual demands of the nation.”

“The meeting touched upon greater unity and coherence between the three branches of government and all other forces who offer services to people,” he continued.

President of Iran, while noting that economic issues as regards production and investment were also dealt at the gathering, added “today, production, employment and economic hold great significance.”

He said heads of three branches agreed that investment required due attention and support; “we are looking for a serious support package for domestic and foreign investment.”

Hassan Rouhani asserted that attracting large amounts of domestic and foreign investment would slow down America’s movements since Iran has no economic link with Americans. “If we boost very close economic ties with the rest of the world, sanctions imposed by the US would prove ineffective.”

“The session also shared views on recent US sanctions and necessary counter-actions to be taken,” highlighted the official stressing that Americans would suffer the most loss from these actions.

Rouhani emphasized that no one could damage dignity of the Islamic Republic of Iran reiterating that all branches of the government, under supervision of the Leader, enjoyed from unity and cohesion and that executive, judiciary and legislative sectors will all back the country’s armed forces.

“The incumbent government will work with Parliament and the Judiciary with further unity and coordination in order to fulfill people’s demands and requests,” he concluded.
