TEHRAN, Jun. 25 (MNA) – Iran has forwarded a message of condolences to government and nation of Pakistan over an oil tanker explosion claiming the lives of at least 120 people and injuring 130 on Sunday.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi expressed sympathy and condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the deadly explosion.

At least 123 people have lost their lives and dozens of others injured after an oil tanker caught fire and exploded near Bahawalpur in Pakistan's Punjab province. According to local sources, most of the victims were residents of nearby areas who were collecting fuel from the oil tanker, which had overturned after falling off a national highway on Sunday morning.
