TEHRAN, Mar. 29 (MNA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani returned to Iran in opening hours of Wednesday Tehran local time following a two-day visit to the Russian Federation.

During his stay in Moscow, Rouhani met with Russian Prime Minister Medvedev as well as his counterpart Vladimir Putin exchanging views over bilateral, regional and international issues.

President of Iran was also awarded an honorary doctorate from Moscow State University (MSU) Rector Victor Antonovich Sadovnichy and delivered a speech to a gathering of professors and students.

Paying tribute to victims of World War II was another part of Rouhani’s visit to Russia.

The two sides also inked 14 cooperation agreements in various sectors and issued a joint statement in a bid to further bolster bilateral relations between Tehran and Moscow.
