Iranian president's deputy chief of staff for communications and information, Parviz Esmaeili, said President Hassan Rouhani will depart for Muscat Wednesday morning at the official invitation of the Sultan of Oman, Qaboos bin Said Al Said.
The President will be officially received by Sultan Qaboos in Muscat, followed by talks between the high-ranking delegations of the two countries.
Rouhani will follow the trip to Kuwait on Wednesday afternoon to hold private talks with Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, as well as a meeting with Kuwaiti Prime Minister. The two countries’ high-ranking delegations are also scheduled to hold talks on bilateral relations.
President Rouhani will be accompanied by a number of ministers, advisers and representatives from the private sector on his visit to Oman and Kuwait.
According to Esmaeili, finding ways to further develop bilateral relations in both public and private sectors as well as exchanging views on regional issues are the major objectives of President Rouhani’s visit to these two Persian Gulf littoral states.
