TEHRAN, Jan. 30 (MNA) – National Iranian sabre team is slated to leave for Italy on Tuesday in order to attend Sabre Fencing World Cup.

In Italy, the Italian Fencing Federation and the Organizing Committee of the ‘Trofeo Luxardo’ are organizing the Fencing World Cup in Men’s sabre, featuring both individual and team competitions.

The event will take place between 29th and 31st January 2016 at the Kioene Arena, in Padua. In order to participate in the upcoming event, Iran’s sabre outfit will depart for the European country on Tuesday January 31.

Mojtaba Abedini, Ali Pakdaman, Mohammad Rahbari and Farzad Baher Aresbaran will be led by Peyman Fakhri to represent Iran in Type A fencing event.

A total of 193 sabre fencers will be seeking to improve their position in the FIE rankings.
