TEHRAN, Nov. 03 (MNA) – At their second show in Dubai, at the 2016 Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, Iranian nationals defeated Egypt 4-1 on Wednesday.

The Iranian national beach soccer players defeated Egyptian squad 4-1 in their second match at the 2016 Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup which is the 6th edition of the event underway in Dubai city of the UAE on Wednesday.

The Iranians had thrashed the US 6-2 in their first performance on Tuesday with goals scored by Mohammadali Mokhtari, Moslem Mesigar, Mostafa Kiani, Seyed Ali Nazem and Mohammad Ahmadzadeh.

Mohammad Ahmadzadeh, who had scored twice for Iran in the match against the US, scored two more times in the event against Egypt. The other two goals of the Iranian side to Egypt were scored by Moslem Mesigar

The Iranians have to line up against Russia today on Thursday.

Iran has been drawn in Group B together with defending champion Russia, the US and Egypt while Group A comprises the UAE, 2014 champion Brazil, Tahiti and Poland.

Team Iran claimed the title in the third edition of the sportive event after defeating powerhouse teams Brazil and Russia.

Attended by eight teams, the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup is an international beach soccer tournament which will be held in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates from 1 to 5 November 2016.
