TEHRAN, Aug. 08 (MNA) – SNSC secretary has offered condolences to Pakistani government and people in his message to his counterpart Lieutenant Gen. Nasser Khan Janjua.

Ali Shamkhani said in his message addressed to Janjua, National Security Adviser to prime minister that terrorism and extremism had targeted all manifestations of life in human communities. He also condemned the terrorist blast which hit Quetta.

Shamkhani’s message expressed hopes that all countries would be united against terrorism as the common threat to all; “suicide attack and shooting in a hospital are testimony that terrorists’ highest ideals are to grow and harvest hatred among the human communities; such acts of utmost killing have tarnished the image of Islam and Islamic identity and take innocent lives,” he emphasized in the message.

“Uprooting terrorism would be an impossible act unless international community joins in a serious effort to block the paths by which terrorists receive resources and finance from its supporters,” Shamkhani concluded.

“A suicide bomb attack has killed 63 people at a hospital in Quetta, in south-west Pakistan, officials say. About 120 others were injured in the blast, which happened at the entrance to the emergency department where the body of a prominent lawyer shot dead earlier on Monday was being brought” said a BBC coverage of the event.
