TEHRAN, Apr. 25 (MNA) – Iranian female rower has finished runner-up at 2016 FISA Asia & Oceania Olympic Qualification Regatta (FAOQR) in South Korea.

Mahsa Javar stood on the second podium at 2016 FAOQR while she had previously sealed Rio Olympics quota by reaching the Final A of the tournament.

In addition to Iran’s Javar, the final round was attended by rowers from South Korea, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Indonesia as well as Vietnam.

On Monday, the Iranian sportswoman participated in the finals of women’s single sculls competitions at the artificial Tangeum Lake in the central South Korean city of Chungju and won the silver medal.

Accordingly, Mahsa Javer will test her athletic skills and strength in the rowing events of the forthcoming Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The 2016 FISA Asia & Oceania Olympic Qualification Regatta (FAOQR) started in Chungju, South Korea, on April 22 and will finish on April 25.
