TEHRAN, Apr. 23 (MNA) – Iran’s first gold medal in history has been snatched by an athlete during European Ski Cup in Russia.

Navid Meghdid who was representing a skiing club from Kish Island, Raika Tose’eh Kish in the competitions, secured the gold medal to write history in Iran’s skiing. His medal came in juniors section where 80 athletes competed. 

This is for the first time an Iranian skier participate in the competition and wins the gold medal of the module.
