TEHRAN, Mar. 10 (MNA) – Iran’s Javad Zarif and Brunei Minister of Energy and Industry have discussed possibilities of extending bilateral ties.

Mohammad Javad Zarif is in a tour of Southeast Asian countries and visited Brunei in the Oceana. Mr. Zarif was welcomed by the island country’s officials and met with Mr. Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar on Wednesday possible fields of cooperation which included oil and gas and downstream related industries, petrochemical industries, building refineries, banking, pharmaceuticals, halal food industries, tourism, consular services and visa issuance facilitation.

Both sides also discussed the latest developments in Islamic world and emphasized upon active relations in different fields of interest. The meeting was part of an official dinner feast given by country’s Advising Minister of Foreign Affairs for honor of Mr. Zarif and his delegation.

FM Zarif left Brunei for Thailand in next leg of his Asia-Pacific tour.
