TEHRAN, Feb. 22 (MNA) – Mehr News English Service has published the third edition of ‘Mehr Vision,’ a monthly collection of news reviews and analyses.

The cover story of this edition is dedicated to the post-JCPOA and post-sanctions situation in Iran and the various economic opportunities presented to the country in the wake of the nuclear deal implementation on 16 January 2016, thus marking the beginning of a new phase in relations between Iran and the world.

Since the implementation of JCPOA on January 16, 2016, Iran has observed a myriad of economic events that have been re­viewed in the report ‘Post-JCPOA: Time to invest in Iran.’  After several months of negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 group of countries, the promised day finally ar­rived a few weeks ago on January 16 and sanctions that had engulfed our Iran for many years are now lifted. As a result, numerous countries have expressed willingness to initiate or resume bilateral cooperation with Iran in various areas, and several Memorandums of Understand­ing (MoUs) and contracts have been signed between Iranian and foreign state and private sector companies.

The report is followed by an article on President Rouhani’s historic visit to Italy and France, in a bid to drum up economic and business opportunities for the country. Foreign Minister Zarif’s remark on President Rouhani’s European trip touches down on the historic beginning of a new season of econom­ic, political, and cultural cooperation.

This section is concluded by an exclusive interview with Manouchehr Takin, an international oil and energy consultant and analyst, who discussed the situation of oil market in the world, saying the policy of curtailing oil price has had serious consequences for OPEC member countries themselves, all suffering financially as their oil revenues have fallen by more than half.

The Politics section kicks off with two interviews on the human rights conditions in Bahrain following five years after the 2011 Bahrain Uprising, also known as the Arab Spring. Following this part is an interview with a Tunisian political analyst who discussed Tunisia’s political and security situation after the 2011 Revolution.

Iran-Saudi Arabia’s severed ties following the execution of prominent cleric Sheikhi Nimr al-Nimr by the Saudi regime and the embassy incident prompted the head of Strategic Research Center Ali Akbar Velayati to shed more light on the situation.

Two Turkish scholars and political analysts sat in an interview with Mehr News Internation­al Service to answer questions on the Syrian refugee-migrant crisis, Turkey’s role in the crisis, and the future of the Turkey’s attempts to join the EU, among other things.

Notable in Culture section of the magazine is Fajr International Theater Festival which was enjoying its 34th edition this January. The section includes reviews about two of the most prominent foreign performances on the Iranian stage, followed by a review on Behrouz Nouranipour’s documentary masterpiece ‘A157’, a report on the wrapping up of the 34th Fajr Film Festival and a review on Erfan Lolaki’s animation ‘Iron Head’.
