TEHRAN, Nov. 24 (MNA) – Iran’s female deaf futsal players conceded a defeat against Brazil failing to reach the semi-finals of the 2015 Deaf Futsal World Cup in Thailand.

In their third match, Iranian women's hearing-impaired futsal players had to face the world champion Brazil where Iran was beaten 3-5.

The Iranian team will play against Japan's national team for the fifth to eighth places.

Having lost to Britain in their first encounter, Iranian women’s deaf futsal squad had recorded a 8-3 victory against Denmark in its second group stage encounter on Saturday, and managed to advance to the quarter-finals.

Iranian deaf female futsal players were pitted against teams from Denmark and England in Group D.

While China, Italy, Sweden and Thailand were in Group A, Japan, Russia and Spain played in Group B. Brazil, Germany and Norway were drawn in Group C.

The 2015 Deaf Futsal World Cup opened in Bangkok, Thailand on November 20, and will wrapped up on November 28.
