Iran increased its medal hopes for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games on Saturday, securing more quota places at the IPC Shooting World Cup in Sydney, Australia.
Staging a remarkable performance in the 2015 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Shooting World Cup in Sydney of Australia, Iranian male shooter Mehdi Zamani stood fourth at the end of P1 10m air pistol shooting competitions and secured his entry to Rio 2016.
Scoring 572 points in the first round, Zamani was the third shooter in the final round where he snatched 2.152 points to stand at the fourth place at P1 (men's 10m air pistol SH1) section of the event.
Kicked off on September 13, Shooting Australia has hosted the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Cup at the Sydney with 300 athletes competing from around the world.
The event will be concluded later today September 19.
