TEHRAN, Sep. 16 (MNA) – Iranian film Resurrection by Ahmadreza Darvish will attend the Baghdad International Film Festival (BIFF).

For the past two years, the International Baghdad Film Festival has been looking forward to screening Ahmadreza Darvish’s latest production Resurrection and the film crew is planning to attend the 7th round of this film festival in time with the film’s premiere in Iran.

The latest agreements on the screening of Resurrection in BIFF were made during the 36th Fajr Film Festival in Tehran between the film producer Taghi Aligholizadeh and deputy head of the BIFF Ammar AlAwadi and it was planned to screen the film under the title of ‘Hussein Who Said No’ in English and 'Alqorban' in Arabic.

The seventh Baghdad International Film Festival will take place on October 1-5 in Baghdad and a number of the film crew will be present at the festival.

Seven Arab actors from different countries have played a role in this film including, Jamal Suliman from Syria, Dawood Hussein from Kuwait, Rezvan Aghili from Syria, Javad al-Shekarchi from Iraq, as well as Foad Ebrahim from Lebanon.

Oscar-winning composer Stephen Varbk has produced the music for Resurrection which was recorded in Moliner Music Studio in London.

Tarigh Anwar has done the editing of the film. He was an Oscar nominee in 2010 for the film The King's Speech.

Resurrection is a religious-historical film which has been dubbed in different languages including English and Arabic.

The story narrates Battle of Karbala on Day of Ashura and tells the uprising of Imam Hussein in 680 CE against Yazid.
