Tehraners resort to masks as air pollution soars
TEHRAN, Nov. 30 (MNA) – Severe air pollution has hit Tehran since some 4 days ago, forcing residents to use masks for their own safety. Schools and universities have been announced closed today and tomorrow in most cities of Tehran province. Officials hope that a predicted rain on Monday would wash the pollution away.

High ozone brings serious air pollution to Tehran’s summer
TEHRAN, Jun. 30 (MNA) – Tehran air quality reached a level which was unhealthy for sensitive groups for about 7 days due to ozone pollutant; as the statistics show concentration of this pollutant increases in the capital mostly during summer, so, ground level ozone became the main contributor to pollution in the capital’s hot seasons.
