TEHRAN, Aug. 16 (MNA) – The sea-off ceremony of a large group of Arbaeen pilgrims was held in Tehran’s iconic Azadi Square on Thursday night with the participation of enthusiasts and pilgrims.
Each year, a huge crowd of Shias flock to Karbala to perform mourning rites and rituals. Arbaeen marks the 40th day after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Imam Hussein (AS).
