ASHGABAT, Sep. 18 (MNA) – Turkmenistan on September 17, opened its US$2 billion bird-shaped international airport outside Ashgabat. The opening ceremony was attended by Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Ahmad Akhoundi, Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and the leaders and representatives of the airlines and aeronautical services from about 25 countries.
