Syria has been flooded with terrorists since the insurgency began in the country 18 months ago.
Saeed Jalili, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), who was holding talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in Baghdad said even the Western countries have admitted that foreign terrorists have entered Syria.
Commenting on the Islamic Awakening movement rolling across the region, Jalili said that the movement has provided a new opportunity for Muslim countries to isolate the United States and the Zionist regime more than ever through synergy.
Jalili also held talks on various issues including bilateral ties with Iraqi Council of Representatives speaker Usama Abdul Aziz al-Nujayfi and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.
Jalili had visited Lebanon and Syria before heading to Iraq.
