The informed source told the Mehr News Agency that Islamabad doesn’t recognize Israel and it has no diplomatic or economic relations with Tel Aviv and the claim by the Zionist agriculture minister is a sheer lie.
In an interview with military radio Tuesday the Zionist agriculture minister Matz claimed that he has been officially invited to visit Pakistan.
Katz said he had been "officially invited to go to Pakistan" as part of a United Nations agricultural delegation, and that he had accepted.
The Pakistani foreign ministry also denied it had issued any invitation for Katz to visit.
"The government of Pakistan has not invited the Israeli agriculture minister," spokesman Masood Khan told AFP.
Khan confirmed the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) had suggested sending a delegation to Pakistan in March for a conference on crop maximization, but had given no details on who would be in the delegation.
