Israel is our eternal enemy: PIJ chief

TEHRAN, March 5 (MNA) - Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) Secretary General Ramadan Abdullah Mohammad Shallah emphasized, “Israel is our nation’s historical enemy and will remain the same until it is wiped off the map.”

He expressed his gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its sincere supports to the Palestinian nation and also for hosting the conference.

 

“This conference shows that Palestine is in the heart of all Arabs and liberals,” PIJ chief told the conference on support for Palestine hosted by Tehran.

 

Abdullah pointed to the appalling conditions in the Gaza Strip, saying, “The Gaza Strip is one of the largest prisons the history has ever seen. The issue is that a country is being destroyed.”

 

Salute the perennial Palestine: Hamas official 

 

Meanwhile, the high ranking Hamas official, Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook, stated that the perennial Palestine should be saluated.

 

“In different scenes, Palestine is present as a reality and we should salute the perennial Palestine.”

 

Abu Marzook added that some countries tried to justify attacks of the Zionist regime.

 

“They presumed that they the Zionist regime was going to win the war. However, the Islamic Ummah expressed its empathy towards the Palestinian nation and condemned Israel. As a result, the supports of Israel failed and even the European countries accepted that Israel is an oppressor.”

  

He pointed out that the Palestinian resistance groups will accept no preconditions for negotiation and that they are supporting the ceasefire to be able to get more prepared for resistance.

 

Resistance is the only weapon of Palestinians: Berri

 

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri emphasized that resistance is the only weapon for Palestinians.

 

“Without unity, we have no weapon and Israel will remain as a great enemy,” he said.

 

Berri urged the Palestinians to understand the importance of unity and put aside unnecessary differences.

 

“I invite the Palestinians to be vigilant in this regard and understand the danger of schism. We are awaiting the unity of Palestinians.”

 

The Parliament speaker expressed his gratitude to Iran, saying, “I take this opportunity to thank the founder the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Supreme Leader, the Majlis Speaker, the President of Iran for supporting Lebanon. I am also grateful to them for completely supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation and its national interests.”

 

Palestine is the main concern of Islamic world: al-Abrash

 

Syrian parliament speaker Mahmoud al-Abrash stated that the Palestine issue is the most important issue in the Islamic world.

 

Al-Abrash added, “Resolving the Palestine issue requires efforts by the Islamic and Arabic nations.”

 

He insisted that Syria has tried to boost its relations with countries who are against Israel, adding, “Iran and Syria enjoy close ties and the Palestine issue has made the relations between Iran and Syria more strengthened.”

 

Al-Abrash also condemned the propaganda campaign against Iran’s civilian nuclear activities

 

Ground for prosecuting Israelis is being laid: minister

 

Iranian Intelligence Minister Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei urged the Islamic world to lay the ground for putting the Israeli officials on trial.

 

“All Islamic and Arab countries should try to lay the ground for the trial and prosecution of these criminals.”

 

Asked about the message of the Tehran conference, he said, “The main message of this conference is that all Islamic countries should act vigilantly and unanimously on the Palestine issue.”

 

40 Palestinian lawmakers are still in Israel’s prisons

 

Palestinian Legislative Council Deputy Speaker Ahmed Bahr said “40 Palestinian lawmakers are still kept in Israel’s prisons.”

 

Bahr urged the international community to take necessary measures to make Israel release the Palestinian MPs.

 

He pointed to Israel’s 22-day onslaught against the Gaza Strip, saying, many “children and elderly people” were among those killed, and tens of thousands of people were made homeless during the war.

 

However the Palestinian people will stay in their land and it is the Palestinians’ legitimate right to defend themselves against the Zionist regime, he added.

 

He called for the establishment of an international tribunal to try Israeli officials for war crimes, adding Arab leaders must fulfill their “duties and responsibilities” towards Palestine. 

 

Bahr expressed his gratitude to Iran for holding the conference and urged Muslim countries to support Palestine both politically and financially.
