Qods Day Shows Occupation Cannot Last: Hamas Representative

TEHRAN, Nov. 22 (Mehr News Agency) - "Islamic nations should make Israel understand that continuing to occupy this holy place is unacceptable and impossible," Abu Osama Abdul-Mo'ti, the Hamas representative in Tehran said.

"The International Day of Qods is surely a great day which will be recorded in history and will last until the liberation from Zionism," Mehr News Agency quoted Abdul-Mo'ti as saying.

Abdul-Mo'ti said, "Qods is a case of the struggle between justice and injustice. Imam Khomeini had understood this well and declared its importance and established this day by proclaiming it the International Day of Qods.

"We become more optimistic about promoting the protection of Qods in the Islamic world every year. Imam Khomeini's important initiative has boosted Palestinians’ morale for continuing the resistance and has had a positive affect on their campaign against expansionists.

"The massive participation of Islamic nations in the rallies on the International Day of Qods causes the Palestinians to feel the presence of all Islamic nations beside themselves in fighting against the Zionists' crimes and plots.

"Qods is not just Palestine's capital, but Islamic nations' capital. On the International Day of Qods, Israel will receive the message that their occupier regime cannot last and one day Qods and other occupied lands will be liberated.”

He stated, "The humiliating Middle East peace talks have not benefited Palestinians, since we still witness Zionist crimes against Palestinians and they continue to follow their expansionist policies in support of the U.S. But the Palestinian Intifada has created a crisis of instability for the Zionists.

"Despite all the hidden plans and plots, the Intifada will continue and the Zionists’ crimes and killing of Palestinian children will not stop the Intifada. It will continue until the liberation of Qods and all occupied territories."
