According to Russia Today, the Saudi Foreign Ministry announced that Riyadh supports Pakistan's mediation to reach a permanent agreement that will achieve stability in the region.
The ministry stressed that Riyadh hopes that the current agreement will create an opportunity to achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire aimed at strengthening regional security and stopping attacks or policies that violate the sovereignty of regional countries and their security.
Iran has rejected those Arab states’ claims that house the hostile US bases from where attacks were launched against Iran. Iran only attacked US bases and assets in the territories of those neighboring states.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry added that the Strait of Hormuz must remain open to maritime navigation without any restrictions in accordance with the 1982 UN treaty.
