The Public Relations Office of the Army announced that in the early hours of Tuesday, an enemy MQ-9 drone described as American-Israeli was successfully intercepted and destroyed by the Army’s Air Defense Force in the general area of Isfahan.
The statement said the drone was tracked and struck following a successful confrontation by the air defense system.
In a separate statement issued on Monday night, the Public Relations Office of the IRGC’s Isfahan-based Saheb al-Zaman unit reported that two advanced American MQ-9 drones were intercepted and destroyed by the IRGC Aerospace Force’s air defense units.
The operation was carried out under the country’s integrated air defense system in the skies over Isfahan.
With the destruction of these drones, the total number of drones downed by the integrated network of the country’s Joint Air Defense Headquarters has reached 148, according to the statement.
