Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said any implementation of threats against Iranian power plants would be followed immediately by punitive measures.
In a statement, the spokesman said the terrorist president of the United States had threatened that if Iran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian power plants would be targeted.
The statement said the strait has only been restricted for hostile or harmful movements and has not been fully closed, adding that it remains under a smart control, while non-harmful transit continues under specific regulations designed to protect Iran’s security and interests.
According to the statement, if threats against Iranian power plants are implemented, Iran would fully close the Strait of Hormuz and keep it closed until damaged facilities are re built.
It added that electricity plants, energy infrastructure and information technology systems in occupied Palestine would be targeted, and that regional companies with American shareholders would also face attacks.
The statement further warned that power plants in regional countries hosting American bases would be considered legitimate targets.
It said Iran did not start the war and would not initiate further escalation, but if its electricity infrastructure is attacked, it would respond to defend national interests.
