US refueling aircraft struck over Iraq

TEHRAN, Mar. 13 (MNA) – Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters announced on Friday that Iraqi Resistance forces have targeted one of the US refueling aircraft. 

“One of the US refueling aircrafts has been hit by Iraqi Resistance’s air defense systems in western Iraq and crashed,” Spokesperson of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters said.

“All of the aircraft's personnel were killed,” the spokesperson added.

Earlier, US Central Command (CENTCOM) had announced in a statement that it is aware of the loss of a US KC-135 refueling aircraft.

It said that two aircrafts were involved in the incident. One of the aircrafts went down in western Iraq, and the second landed safely.
It claimed that this was not due to hostile fire or friendly fire.
