Speaking in a televised interview late on Saturday, Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini expounded the recent events on the battlefield and prediction of process of trend of war, asserting, “The terrorist US army and criminal Zionist regime in a joint military operation attacked Iran on Saturday, February 28, with more than 50,000 forces, two aircraft carriers, 200 advanced fighter jets, destroyers, missile launchers, and atomic submarines and explicitly announced that their main goal was the regime change in Iran and for this reason, they carried out a large-scale aggression against the Iranian territory.”
Generally speaking, the malicious goals of the US and Israel were completely failed with their miscalculation in three fronts, Naeini underlined.
It became clear that the enemy has no precise and accurate understanding from the political, military and social structure of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said, adding that the Islamic Establishment is invincible and this invincibility was manifested during the war.
Totally, seven highly-advanced radars and THAAD defense systems that had been deployed in the region were completely demolished by the powerful armed forces of the country, he stated, noting that 80 advanced drones of enemy were also destroyed.
Naturally, this war severely affected the price of oil and gas at the global markets to a great extent, in which, 23,000 international flights and millions of passengers were strayed due to this war at the airports of the region, IRGC spokesman continued.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Brigadier General Naeini stated that the missiles used so far are mainly related to the 1st and 2nd generations which were produced in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and the missiles produced over the past 10 years have not yet been used.
This is while that production of missiles has been significantly increased in the recent years, he emphasized.
Iran has reserved the right to give a decisive response to the aggression of enemy, he said, noting that Iran will continue the war until complete punishment of the US-Israeli aggressors with all its might and power.
He further noted that the armed forces of the country have been fully prepared for a prolonged war for a period of six months, the spokesman added.
