Iran's firm response will last as long as attacks do: Envoy

Speaking to reporters at the UN Security Council, Amir Saeid Iravani said that Iran’s military actions will target only the combatant forces of hostile powers.

“We do not target civilians or the interests of neighboring countries,” he added. 

Iravani noted that Iran is not seeking war or escalation, but will not relinquish its sovereignty, Press TV reported. 

“While the violation persists, Iran will act swiftly and resolutely to protect itself,” he asserted.
