Flight and transport disruption was reported in Italy on Friday after a general strike was called over work pay and in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, Independent reported.
Workers from across public and private industries, including transport workers were on strike on Friday.
Airports such as Naples and Venice had already warned passengers that flights may be delayed or cancelled during the 24-hour strike, with passenger and aircraft handling procedures also delayed.
