Rejecting the US and Western pressure to limit Iran missile capabilities, Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik emphasized that Iran's security and national interests are a red line and no foreign interference in the country's defense power is acceptable.
Talaei-Nik pointed to the insistence of United States and the West to negotiate about the missile program and the request to reduce the range of Iran's missiles, the spokesman added that national interests and security are the basis of the Iranian missile power, and any foreign intervention in determining the country's defense and security capabilities is not possible.
Preserving the defensive capabilities and achievements to confront potential threats is one of the national principles in Iran, he continued.
Any interference by foreign powers in determining missile power and strength commensurate with the country's defense needs will not be acceptable, Talaei-Nik noted.
