In a statement, the Syrian Foreign Ministry called the ceremony “a historic moment,” marking the symbolic return of Syria’s presence at its embassy in the US capital.
“In a historic moment, Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shibani raised the flag of the Syrian Arab Republic over the Syrian Embassy building in the US capital, Washington,” the MFA statement reads.
