Russia not to give military help as per treaty with Iran

TEHRAN, Apr. 08 (MNA) – A Russian Deputy Foreign Minister has said that Moscow will not be obliged to provide military assistance to Tehran under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement previously signed with Iran in case of a US attack.

If the United States attacks Iran, Russia is not obligated to provide military assistance under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement with Iran, said Andrei Rudenko, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister, while answering a question regarding a potential aggression against Iran, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

Earlier today, APA reported that the State Duma ratified the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and Iran, which was signed in Moscow on January 17 this year.
