The officers were responding to a call about a loud noise coming from a house in Karayaka town.
After the police entered the house, an explosion occurred, it reported.
"According to preliminary findings, it appears that the incident was caused by a family feud," Tokat Provincial Governor Numan Hatipoglu said on social media platform X, Xinhua reported.
Two people were detained after the incident, the governor added.
Specialized teams were reportedly dispatched to the scene to investigate the explosion.
