Iran, Qatar FMs discuss latest regional developments

TEHRAN, May 02 (MNA) – The foreign ministers of Iran and Qatar held a phone conversation on Wednesday night to discuss the latest developments in the region, especially in Gaza.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, who serves as the Prime Minister of the Arab country as well, discussed the latest developments in Palestine and current diplomatic efforts to immediately stop the brutal aggression of the Zionist regime against Gaza and the genocide of the defenseless Palestinian people.

The two sides also conferred on ways to accelerate the sending of international humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Israel waged a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group carried out a historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
