Iraqi Islamic Resistance attacks US troops in Iraq, Syria

TEHRAN, Jan. 24 (MNA) – The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has once again targeted the US bases in Iraq and Syria on Wednesday.

Two informed sources, whose names have not been disclosed, told Reuters on Wednesday that an armed drone targeted a base near Erbil Airport, which houses American troops.

The attack was carried out after last night attack by the American army on Al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units (PMU)) in Jarf al-Nasr district in Babil province and Al-Qaim city on the border between Iraq and Syria, during which at least PMU 2 forces were martyred.

The Iraqi Islamic Resistance group announced in a statement on Wednesday afternoon that, "The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance of Iraq continued the approach of resistance against the American occupying forces in Iraq and the region and in response to the killings of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza, today Wednesday using missiles and drones, three bases of the American occupation in Iraq and Syria including Koniko base, Erbil airport base and Ain al-Asad base were targeted by our forces"
