Iran’s police chief, Iraqi prime minister discuss mutual ties

TEHRAN, Nov. 14 (MNA) – Iran’s Police Chief Ahmad Reza Radan and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani have reviewed mutual ties between the two countries.

Radan met and held talks with Al Sudani in the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad on Monday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed security coordination in the case of border control and the fight against the drug trade, as well as various aspects of cooperation on maintaining internal security and the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries' police agencies.

Earlier in a meeting on Sunday, Radan and Iraqi Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari discussed cooperation between the two countries in the fields of security, law enforcement, and police affairs.

Pointing to the existing cooperation between the ministries of Iran and Iraq in all fields, Al-Shammari highlighted that the visit of Iran’s Police Chief to Iraq will lead to enhanced mutual cooperation in the fields of intelligence and new planning for the future.
