Fighter jet crashes in southern Iran

TEHRAN, Aug. 04 (MNA) – An Iranian Air Force fighter jet crashed near Tangestan County in the southern Iranian province of Bushehr, along the Persian Gulf coasts, on Sunday noon.

According to Governor of Tangestan Abdol-Hossein Rafieepour, the aircraft crashed at 12:30 local time due to technical problems.

Both pilot and the co-pilot of the jet are safe, he added.

No further details about the incident have been released yet.
