Given the Iran’s turn to assume the position of 2nd vice chairman of ‘Group 24’ of the developing countries, Central Bank of Iran (CBI), representing the Islamic Republic of Iran, will assume the responsibility of first chairman and head of the Group 24 respectively in the next two years respectively.
In this regard, a Working Group, composed of experts in economic and foreign exchange sector, has been set up in the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
With its long years of experience, the Group 24 consists of finance ministers and governors of the central banks of 28 developing countries in three regions of Africa, Asia, Latin America and Caribbean.
Also, the mechanism designed for this group is in such a way that at least one country, represented by the mentioned three regional groups, should attend the meeting of presidency of Group 24.
