Trump seeks worsening Iran sanctions due to his lack of respect for ethical, intl. principles

TEHRAN, Jun. 28 (MNA) – Iran’s 1st VP Es’hagh Jahangiri said the difference between previous sanctions and the future ones is that the incumbent president of the United States does not adhere to any ethical and international principles, and takes any measures to provide US’ interests at any cost.

Jahangiri pointed out that now dozens of think tanks in the United States have put Iran's sanctions on their agenda and are seeking to increase the practical, social, political and economic effects of sanctions against the Iranian nation, and added “according to the information received from US think tanks, the country is seeking to impose more effective sanctions and repeatedly declare that this time Iran will surrender to US sanctions and pressures.”

Outlining US objectives to put pressure on Iran and naming the main sectors on which the country is focused to impose sanctions, 1st VP said “ the primary goal of the United States is to eliminate or limit Iran's income sources, at the head of which are our foreign exchange and oil revenues.”

Referring to the fact that before JCPOA withdrawal, the United States had made a lot of restrictions on Iran in converting the dollar into the euro, he said "the United States limited importing currency resources into banknotes from different countries.”
